I want to tell you the truth. I have nothing to gain by telling you all this, just feel like sharing a bit. At times, this need to share goes away and becomes somewhat muffled in the hustle and bustle of what we call everyday’s life. But then I see a reminder or two, unexpectedly, on TV, on the street corner, all over the place.

What follows after is an offer to buy a program, enroll in a gym, attend a seminar, or just stop eating. Of course, you see a guy with bulging muscles (years of steroid use will do that to you), next to a gorgeous, well-toned beauty, helping promote this so-called solution to your problem.
Most people simply miss the fact that muscle-building is one thing, and is ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from actually LOSING WEIGHT the right way, the way that lasts and does not leave you hungry, disappointed, exhausted, etc, etc. That’s one thing I could never understand – what does lifting weight have to do with losing your belly?
They actually have the answer ready for that – the more muscle mass you possess, the quicker you burn fat throughout the day. Well, one problem with that – you need quite a bit of muscles for that to work, and of course, the amount of fat you will burn this way is minimal at best.
In any event, if you are trying to lose that gut (and most people simply want to do just that), lifting weights is not the solution you are looking for. But what is?
